Is your brand-new Xhorse Dolphin XP005L Key Cutting Machine refusing to charge? Before replacing anything, test the battery cell using this simple method.
Step 1: Test voltage with a Multimeter
Remove the battery module from the machine.
Measure A to B – Place your multimeter probes on point A and point B. You should see 3.3V.
Step 2: Circuit switch
Run three quick tests:
Short the switch – Connect the switch terminals, then measure between point A and point D. You should get 28V.
Step 3: Check voltage
Disconnect the interface – Watch the voltage reading. It should slowly drop all the way to 0V.
What do the results mean?
- Passed all three tests? → Your battery is fine.
- Failed any test? → Time to replace Dolphin XP005L battery.
