Problem:
When attempting to read a Renault or Dacia EMS3125 ECU using Xhorse Multi-Prog, the software successfully identifies the chip ID but fails to read the full memory content, displaying the following error message:
Chip data reading failed! Error code: 12300010
Possible Cause:
The MCU inside the EMS3125 ECU features hardware-level encryption and password protection. Multi-Prog currently lacks the security protocol required to bypass this password protection.
Alternative Hardware Recommendations:
To read and write password-protected EMS3125 modules, use one of the following diagnostic/flashing tools via Boot Mode:
- CombiLoader (with appropriate EMS3125 module)
- OBDSTAR (DC706 / ECU Master)
- Dimsport New Trasdata
